FDIH's analysis has also shown that every fifth krone is spent on subscription purchases. Here, TV, telephony, internet, streaming services, transport and training subscriptions fill the big categories. Today you can buy everything on subscription - from socks and baby clothes to cosmetics.

In the future, meal boxes and groceries are predicted to consume a bigger bite of the online shopping cake. Many grocery stores have already made it possible for subscription purchases due to customers demanding the opportunity. The trend of grocery shopping has long been on the way, but in Denmark we have the most supermarkets per day. per capita, which has made the digital breakthrough difficult.

"I expect that the volume of subscription purchases will increase significantly in the future, because it meets the consumers' need for easy and fast solutions," says Niels Ralund from FDIH.

Increased focus on sustainability
Consumers are increasingly demanding sustainability towards webshops and stores, both when it comes to environmentally friendly production of the product, the packaging of the product and the transport of the product. In an e-commerce analysis, FDIH asked consumers whether "sustainability matters to you when you shop online?", Here the statistics show that women generally weigh sustainably higher than men. At the same time, consumers in the capital are the ones who value sustainability the highest - where consumers in Southern Denmark and Northern Jutland emphasize sustainability the lowest.

Online shoppers are increasingly finding their way to the packing shops and vending machines.
