Organic packaging - What is that?

The term "ecology" was first used in 1866 by the German zoologist Ernst Haeckel. Haeckel's definition of the concept covered 'the doctrine of the household of nature' - that is, a scientific approach that looked at the relationship between living organisms and their way of life. Today, however, ecology has become a collective term for sustainable and holistic agriculture, where the environment, nature and animals are taken into account as far as possible - and where the goal is to benefit future generations.

By acting organically, consumers express a desire to improve animal welfare and biodiversity, and to return to the earth what has been taken from it. However, as ecology is a term associated with food production and holistic agriculture, there is therefore no talk of 'organic packaging'. Instead, one can talk about sustainable or environmentally friendly packaging.

In addition to our Ethical Pack brand, it is a good idea to check whether your cardboard and paper packaging is FSC-certified if you want to use environmentally friendly packaging. In short, the FSC mark means that the cardboard comes from a forest where no more trees are felled than the forest can reproduce. In addition, it is a guarantee that animal and plant life as well as workers are protected and have good conditions.
