It's about staying up to date on the fast-evolving web store front to keep up with competitors. By standing out, you can earn extra points in the usability account. Get ahead of your competitors with some of the expert advice below.

A number of UX experts suggest looking at the value of paying tribute to returning customers. This can be done by welcoming the customer with names and relevant products.

Many webshops do not show employees, which gives points when it comes to trust and closeness in the customer relationship. Only 24% of webshops do, but more should follow suit, experts say.

Can your clients choose favorites?
You can make it easy for your customer to store favorite products without having to put items in the basket. It requires less of the customer when they are interested in a variety of goods, and then the list can be used to create leads, permissions and additional sales. Only 14% of Danish webshops have a favorite list, of which only 6% use the favorites for additional sales. Here's something to pick up.

The 'Shopping Cart' page should be so simple that the customer can not be sure how to navigate further. This site is also an obvious place to add more sales - which only 21% do today.

Good content is a big SEO plus
Do a little extra of your average pages. Here there may be some SEO points to be gained by adding new content to your blog posts, product texts, etc. Google likes changes to the pages to keep them up to date. Therefore, you may want to add details, statistics, examples, answers, quotes or photos - or anything else that can add value to the content of your pages.

Also allow your visitors to capture content in different ways by using photos, infographic, video and text. That way, you can more easily capture the attention of your visitors and keep them on the site for an extended period of time. Engaging visitors to your website is a big plus in terms of SEO, so the longer they stay at your web shop, the better.

Google Mobile First indexing
You may already have heard that Google has changed their indexing to what they call Mobile First.

This means that when indexing a web page, Google will use the mobile version, which is why the importance of having an optimized mobile site is even greater today.

The reason for the change at Google is that the majority of website visits are via smartphones today. Therefore, Google first examines the content of the mobile site, and if, for example, not all text or very little text is displayed on the mobile site, the website may lose significant points on the SEO account.

Your mobile site may not have switched to Mobile First indexing yet. However, to avoid the negative consequence of the new indexing, one should be at the forefront of getting your site optimized for mobile.

Conversely, the big hyper-marketed shopping days get consumers out of the way, and can boost the consumer desire and mood, so customers spend a little more money in the webshops.
